Dear Apri Yanto

I know some of you might think that it is very easy to find a place to stay in Bali. It is true as statistics show that of more than 4000 hotels in Indonesia almost half are located in the Island of Gods. From luxurious resorts like Aman and Alila to international establishments such as Accor and Starwood to local chains namely Aston and Harris, it won't be difficult to find any type of accommodation. Those with budget strain can opt three-star hotels while others with loyalty cards or want comfort in familiarity can enjoy their stay at international chain hotels.

These are four practical suggestions about planning your accommodation to Bali. Maximizing your budget and experience are two things that we would highlight here.

The first would be to establish your type of vacation. For weekend escapes choose hotels or resorts with enough facilities to pamper your needs on demand. Honeymooners should consider villas as the best option, as it offers comfort and privacy. Those with longer holiday and lots of agenda -from surfing to touring the island- budget hotels is best as you can spend money more on activities. Private villas can be options too as there are many affordable units available for daily, weekly or even monthly rent.

Know the area. Some folks don't spend time to get to know their surroundings and ended up missing out on some important things to do there and around. Infinity pool with a view, restaurants and bars to spend the night out, a great in-house spa and other services that might be highlighted by previous guests in travel websites such as burufly.com should be part of your experience too.

Third it's about the time of arrival and departure. If you are staying in a resort or nice five-star hotel always consider to have an early check-in and a late check-out. If your flight arrived late at night, choose to stay at a budget hotel first then go to your fancy hotel or resort at noon, few hours before check-in time. Afterward you can make a request for a late check-out. By doing this you will maximize your experience (and money) by having enough time to explore and enjoy your chosen accommodation.

Last but not least, how about your entourage? Is it only the two of you or will your friends or family go with you? If you go to Bali alone a stay at a four-star hotel would be best as you might go out a lot to mingle by the pool with other singles. Have an unforgettable stay at a high end resort by taking your friends with you.  For family accommodation, choose two or three bedroom villa with breathtaking view. Life is all about sharing, isn't it?

Despite the mass tourism, Bali is always a nice place to escape for a weekend or long holiday. Be a smart traveler and maximize your experience here as Bali has a lot of fine things to offer. Snap some nice shots and send them to images@burufly.com or your social profile on burufly.com so Buruflyers around the world could see these cute looking faces in their original habitat.
