Read more » New Low Cost Instance Types in Amazon EC2 This month, Amazon released T2 and R3 instances types. Both instances run on Hardware VirtualMachines (HVM). A lot of acronyms but at the end better price for higher capabilities. We have added HVM virtualization options to our cloud images and Bitnami Cloud hosting and now you can launch servers based on T2 and R3 instance types among others. We have also updated our images to include Ubuntu 14.04 which provides improved performance, usability and security.
