SuiteCRM Added to the Bitnami Library!
SuiteCRM is a completely open source enterprise-grade Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application. It is a fork of the popular customer relationship management system SugarCRM, 100% compatible with SugarCRM community edition with added modules for WorkFlow, Reporting, Portal, Products, Quotes, Contracts, Invoices, Team and more.
The new Microsoft Azure Certified program gives Microsoft partners new opportunities to promote and sell apps and services on Azure. Bitnami was a launch partner for this program, along with Oracle, SAP and Barracuda.
The first two apps we have provided as part of the Azure Certified Program are DreamFactory and Exo Platform Express. If you are new to Azure, Microsoft provides a $200 account credit to get you started with Azure.
While Amazon is still the largest player in the cloud space, Azure is building a lot of momentum, with an average of more than 1,000 customers signing up every day. In partnership with Microsoft, we're giving away free, limited-edition t-shirts to users who give Azure a try. We think you will love how easy it is to deploy Bitnami apps on the cloud with the Bitnami Launchpad for Microsoft Azure.
eXo Social Platform: An Interview with Benjamin Mestrallet
eXo Platform is an open source social collaboration platform designed for enterprises. Winner of our March monthly contest, it is one of the most recent additions to the Bitnami Library and one of the two applications we provide in the Azure Management Portal under the Azure Certified Program. Learn more about this cool app in our interview with Benjamin Mestrallet, eXo Platform Founder and CEO.
This month, Amazon released T2 and R3 instances types. Both instances run on Hardware VirtualMachines (HVM). A lot of acronyms but at the end better price for higher capabilities.
We have added HVM virtualization options to our cloud images and Bitnami Cloud hosting and now you can launch servers based on T2 and R3 instance types among others. We have also updated our images to include Ubuntu 14.04 which provides improved performance, usability and security.
OSCON, the Open Source Convention at Portland, was a great opportunity to share Bitnami with new faces, and catch up with some of the top open source leaders and cloud platform providers.
